The Tun Hussein Onn Memorial (MTHO) is a goverment memorial institution located opposite the Negarawan Memorial, within the Bukit Perdana Complex at Jalan Dato’ Onn. The construction of it is to replace the Old Tun Hussein Onn Complex, containing information about the history of Tun Hussein Onn’s involvement in the political arena, ministries and the Prime Minister. It was established to store and preserve all information and memorabilia related to Tun Hussein Onn. This effort is in line with the Cabinet’s directive that a memorial be established to permanently preserve all materials related to Tun Hussein Onn and his family.

Its unique location has made MTHO an iconic design that does not compete, but rather assimilates and diversifies different architectural styles and eras. The building uses the ‘Green Building’ concept with the use of an extensive green roof, providing continuity to the surrounding landscape up to the roof to form the new peak of Bukit Perdana. The tiered green courtyard overlooking the old Prime Minister’s Office also features a 360-degree panorama of Kuala Lumpur while providing space for various side activities.
